The what

A 6X3 metre renaissance-style oil painting to support the launch of Xbox’s flagship video game, Halo Infinite.

The why

After some disappointing PR for the game, Xbox and creative agency Edelman wanted to reassure fans of the franchise that Halo Infinite was a ‘masterpiece’.

The how

A seemingly impossible task with a six-week turnaround was made possible by creative problem solving, a can-do attitude and the Creative Giants network of artists.

We commissioned Palm Award winner Iva Troj to create the artwork with five assistants. Then we set up a studio space beneath our offices in Brighton, where the artists could work on the painting round-the-clock in order to meet the deadline.

Over 1600 artist hours later, the painting was unveiled at the Saatchi Gallery in London and went on to the Louvre in Paris.

The whole process was filmed for publicity, and the painting was then cut into 210 pieces, signed by the artist and given away as prizes to Halo fans.

We love it because
  • We were a force for positivity, proving it could be done and delivering on our promise
  • It enabled us to support and promote emerging talent in the art world
  • It showcased the global reach of our network - from award-winning artists to world famous galleries
