Creative Giants worked in collaboration with Warwickshire County Council to shape and deliver a placemaking scheme across the county. This project was designed to create paid opportunities for artists and designers to create functional interventions that would passively encourage community confidence in public spaces in the wake of the pandemic.

It was a significant priority of the client to work with local and early career artists, which is often in conflict with the qualifications and experience required to design for public spaces. We created a strategic project structure that worked within the context of local authority procurement, allowed for a fair and accessible commissioning process, and created opportunities for early-career artists to be up-skilled through paid work. The outcome of the project was 7 unique installations in a mix of urban and green spaces in towns across that were designed in response to the site-specific context and community identity of each location.
